> Starter Constitution for the Hitchhikers IP Pool.

This page is a practical starter constitution for a Hitchhikers-style IP pooling setup that can be implemented quickly, with clear default roles, boundaries, and licensing flows, while keeping room for later sophistication.

# The Narrative Commons and the IP Pool. The Hitchhikers project is anchored by a Narrative Commons: a shared world of Guides, Guidance, storytelling, and interoperable cultural and technical primitives that many groups can build upon without losing coherence. To finance early risk while protecting long-term commons value, we place key assets into a pooled structure called the Hitchhikers IP Pool, whose participants are informally called HIPsters, meaning members of a shared pool that supports both public benefit and investable clarity.

# The Three Entities We separate governance, licensing economics, and innovation into three entities so that the Narrative Commons remains credible and mission-locked, commercial licensing is accountable and investable, and incubation can generate private IP without contaminating the Commons.

# How decisions flow. The Commons Steward governs standards, certification, and what counts as the Hitchhikers System, Hitchhiker Holdings executes licensing and economic distribution, and Hitchhiker Venture Studio chooses what to incubate and which track each new project enters, with disputes handled by a defined process that prioritises coherence, fairness, and auditability.
